Taking care of your items
- All dishes are not microwave safe due to the foil platinum design.

The company does suggest keeping to less than 60 degrees to make them longer lasting and using a liquid if at all possible. this is also better for your glassware too. Never remove dishes from the dishwasher whilst they are still hot as it can cause the coating to scratch. Any Dishes from the Porcel Range are not Dishwasher Safe. Some can be produced with a special coating to make them dishwasher safe. This would entail a 15% surcharge. (This applies to the following patterns: Auratus / Argentatus / Belle Epoque)
- All Charger Plates/mats are wipe clean only. Wash very delicately or the colour will wear off.
- Napkin rings need to be handled delicately to avoid any of the stones falling off. If a stone does fall off simply reapply with strong super glue.

Noritake Care Instructions
CARE AND HANDLING
Dishwasher Tips for Tableware ・ Although dishwasher safe, we recommend washing tableware by hand without harsh scourers or abrasive pads. ・ Use the fine china cycle on your dishwasher with hot water (less than 65°C) and less detergent and. Load the china correctly onto the rack ensuring the individual items are not touching the other pieces. This could cause breakage or damage on the surface during the washing cycle. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. ・ Avoid lemon-based detergents as this may cause pitting on the gold or platinum band of your formal dinnerset. We recommend using liquid detergent over powder or tablets. ・ Avoid overloading as this can lead to items rubbing or colliding. ・ Use a small amount of detergent and ensure your tableware is completely rinsed. ・ Soak your pieces in hot soapy water for roughly one hour to loosen and remove any adhesive stickers. Care Advice for Tableware ・ Avoid any sudden temperature change, such as putting a hot item into cold water. The heat temporarily softens metal such as gold or platinum. Let your dinnerware cool down before handling. ・ After removing your china from storage you may need to polish the gold or platinum ring. Oxidation or discolouration can build up on the trim if left exposed to air, water/moisture and heat. We recommend removing the tarnish with a metal polishing kit (e.g. cape cod). ・ Don’t put anything metal, such as the gold or platinum band on formal dinnerware, in the microwave oven. ・ Never expose your dinnerware to direct flame, such as top burners of a gas stove. ・ Though your Noritake is protected with a high quality glaze, hard pressure from cheap cutlery can still cause scratching and scuffs. To remove these marks make a paste with baking soda and a little warm water, and wipe until the marks disappear. ・ In hard water areas, deposits may form on your tableware if the water is left to dry. These soluble deposits can easily be removed with a diluted acid such as vinegar. ・ To avoid scratching the china, avoid sliding the Fine China pieces over each other. Protective pads or towels (including paper-towel) are helpful in avoiding scratching.
