Quality & International Recognition
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Oliveira do Bairro, Aveiro, Porcel – Indústria de Porcelanas, S.A., is unquestionably a prestigious brand and fine porcelain industry.
The international recognition has emerged as a result of its quality, design, contemporaneity and innovation. Porcel customers look for refinement and elegance, even if they require innovation. They especially value exclusivity.
Technological Innovation Combined with the Mastery of Artisanal Production
Porcel gives importance to every detail. Its pieces are of high quality, creative and stylish. In addition, the brand combines technological innovation with the mastery of manual production through detailed production methods.
Thin, Non-Porous and Resistant Porcelain
For Porcel the selection of raw materials is very important. Imported directly from France, they are characterised by being translucent, nonporous and resistant.
The Excellence of the Productive Process
The production of Porcel pieces follows a demanding production process. After rigorous processes of preparation of pastes (forming and drying), the first baking is prepared. Here, the pieces will cook at about 1000°C. This baking gives the pieces essential mechanical strength and porosity for the next operation. The following step is the glazing. In this procedure, the pieces are chosen and dedusting, so that they can be immersed in suspension of glaze. The pieces are thus ready for the second baking at about 1400°C, thus obtaining the porcelain.
Decoration of Porcelain with Application of Decal or Curd Stretching
After the previous process, the porcelain is ready for the decoration. The manual stamping is done through the application
of decal and/or curd stretching with application of gold, platinum or paints, applied manually or by machine.
Following is the cooking of the set, carried out at different temperatures depending on the type of product.
After this process, the Porcel piece is ready to be packaged and shipped.
